Dr. Joshua Rubinstein, ND, BS is a graduate of Bastyr University where he received his postgraduate degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Previous to his education at Bastyr, Dr. Rubinstein attended the University of Puget Sound where he received a B.S. in Biology.  In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Rubinstein is also a professor at Bastyr University.
He has a broad background in integrated health care and enjoys educating patients in how to live healthier, happier, more rewarding lives.

“I believe in the body’s inherent healing power.  Often, if the body is left alone and allowed to function properly, it will heal itself…it’s more about removing obstacles to cure rather than adding on more to our busy routines.” One of the techniques Dr. Rubinstein uses to treat his patients is called Functional-Indirect. It is a form of realigning the spine without the “cracking” experienced with most chiropractic adjustments.  “I’ve found that this technique is wonderful for pain relief and greater ease of movement in a respectful, gentle manner.”  Dr. Rubinstein uses Functional-Indirect in combination with nutrition and homeopathy in working with patients needlessly suffering from autoimmune diseases such as fibromyalgia, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Rubinstein is also able to help patients with skin complaints. He offers such treatments such as wart removal, biopsies, removal of subcutaneous cysts and minor wound repair.

The health of the physical body is intimately connected with our mental and emotional states.  Dr. Rubinstein recognizes this when working with his patients. More and more research is showing how our imbalanced emotions can cause sickness and chronic illnesses.  Stress and unresolved anger are all part of this picture. Dr. Rubinstein helps his patients find approaches that can reduce stress and attain a higher degree of happiness in life.
